Our mentors are young and dedicated.
The average age of our mentors this year is 30!
Many mentors were the first in their family to go to college.
Primos are passionate about sharing their knowledge and skills with their mentees. They understand firsthand the difficulties of navigating education while balancing personal and family responsibilities. They are eager to give back to their community and help shape tomorrow’s leaders.
Our mentors bring experience from a multitude of professional fields including:
- Real Estate
- Finance & Accounting
- Marketing & Advertising
- Higher Education
- Government Consulting
For our inaugural year, we are focusing on the Pleasant Grove area and have recruited students that live in Southeast Dallas.
This part of town is particularly special to Primos founder, Alicia Serrato, as she grew up in Pleasant Grove.
By focusing on a specific geographical area we are able to provide central meeting locations that are easily accessible to mentees and their families.
Our mentees attend the following schools:
Young Men’s Leadership Academy at Florence Middle School
W W Samuell High School
Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School
Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy
